About Rabia
Born in Mumbai, India, Rabia's passion for dance blossomed during her college years. While pursuing her studies in the U.S, she chose to minor in dance, a decision that ignited her curiosity to explore various dance forms from around the globe, with a particular emphasis on Bollywood and Bhangra from her homeland. Immersed in her dance minor, Rabia found herself choreographing vibrant Bollywood dance pieces for her fellow university students, both during her academic tenure and beyond. Following her graduation, she continued to share her expertise by teaching weekly Bollywood classes in Monterey, California, enriching the local community with the exuberance and grace of Indian dance culture.
Since 2018, Rabia relocated to Sonoma County. Presently, she is an active member of the Joweh RAW dance troupe. Within this role, Joweh has been privileged to have her choreograph numerous Bollywood dances for the troupe's performances at various events across Northern California.
"Night of Illusion" will be the first in a series of shows featuring magic and illusion from yours truly, along with a guest performer.

Peacewave and Sirens present "Will Marsh World Raga Ensemble" an evening of Sitar and Sacred music with Will Marsh on April 27, 2024, at Subud Hall in Sebastopol. Will Marsh is coming to Sebastopol to celebrate his forthcoming album, Integration. The album is rooted in the most ancient of contemporary musical traditions and its most famous instrument, the classical Hindustani Sitar. The Integration Ensemble performs original compositions by world musician extraordinaire Will Marsh. Described as “Ravi Shankar jamming with the Buena Vista Social Club,” this live event features sitar, guitar, cello, saxophone, tabla, and world percussion. With influences from Frank Zappa and Ali Akbar Khan to Maurice Ravel and John Coltrane, the Integration Ensemble includes some of the Bay Area’s best musicians including Josh Mellinger (percussion), Misha Kahlikulov (cello), Greg Barnett (guitar) and Mark Gerhard (tabla) Will Marsh has been performing around the world on sitar and guitar for over two decades. Will has worked with Grammy-winning musicians and producers and has been featured on national TV. From his roots as a guitarist from northern Michigan to performing Hindustani sitar in Kolkata, Will’s musical journey has been rich and diverse. He believes passionately that music is essential to all of humanity. He holds his MFA in World Music Performance from the California Institute of the Arts and has studied with some of the world’s greatest musicians including Ustad Aashish Khan (eldest son of Ali Akbar Khan), Roshan Bhartiya, Tushar Bhatia, and Shakir Khan. “Will Marsh delicately surfs the edge between east and west.
